Let me introduce myself...
I have been working in the field of Chemical Dependency since 1988, and she has worked with Problem and Compulsive gamblers since being Certified by the Arizona Council on Compulsive Gambling, Inc. in 1996 and Nationally Certified in 1999. Beginning my career at the Hazelden Foundation, I moved to Phoenix as Senior Counselor at Progress Valley, IV, and then went on to became the Addictions Program Director at Charter Hospital, and Program Manager for Trimeridian, Inc.
I was awarded the first contract to work with gamblers and affected persons in Arizona. I also held a contract with the Office of Problem Gambling for seven years to train all levels of professionals to work with gamblers and affected persons, reaching every zip code in Arizona. I have recognized and treated clients suffering from addiction to alcohol and drugs for 36 years and recognized gambling as affecting the sobriety of many and continues to assist clients in processing co-occuring disorders. I have been treating individuals with gambling problems/addition for 27 years.
I now work in private practice as CEO, Counselor, Consultant, and Trainer at ACT - Counseling & Education.
